FAQ’s
How long will it take to build our home?
The standard time frame from the time the basement is excavated is 6-9 months. It can be a little faster or slower depending on the size of the building and time of year that the project is started. The timeline is discussed at your initial meeting so everyone starts the process knowing the approximate time it will take for each specific project.
How do we know our house will be energy efficient?
We want to ensure that even in cold Wisconsin winters, your home is cozy and warm while being energy efficient. That's why we employ a third party, Wisconsin Focus on Energy, to test and report on every house we build. This way you will know you are getting an above average efficiency rating and will have the paperwork to prove it.
Our company is one of only a few in the state that puts every single house we build in the Focus on Energy program. We spray all attic penetrations with insulated foam, which prevents your condensed air (heated or cooled) from escaping. We add 1-inch foam on walls, which provides an excellent thermal break. Radon / moisture vents and fans help improve air quality and improve moisture levels and ventilation. These are just some of the many extras we include on every house.
How do I find the perfect building site?
The perfect site can be hard to find. That is why we are always looking at new land for sale. We may own or know of some suitable lots. Once a lot is selected, we can meet with you and your excavation team to determine the best placement for the house.
How do we know your price is accurate?
Keeping our customers on budget is just as important to us as it is to you! Our design build estimates are extremely detailed with a budgeted amount for every item going into your new home. We meet with our customers during each of the selection meetings to review the individual budgets and any additional costs for upgrades. It’s important to us to be upfront about costs help our customers stay within their budget.
