After viewing his 2007 Parade Home there was no question as to why he won an award for that home. It was beautiful, well thought out for usable space and in all appearances built to a high quality. After converstaion continued with Cody, come to find out it's not only Cody's attention to detail , reputation with his own sub's and for lack of better words, "a true hatred towards cost overruns", his wife Molly helps mold the house together to give it that "home" feeling by putting her eye for design in a direction that suited our style. Her interior design company, House of Dreams, was just like adding icing on the cake. I can't say enough about how easy the entire process was for me and my family as we were continually kept in the loop, given the options to choose where we wanted input and we stayed on budget which always makes me particularly happy. Cody spent a considerable amount of time helping me sort through plans that fit our budget and at the same time met the restrictive covenances in our development. Overall the quality and craftsmanship is great! In comparison to the homes in our neighborhood, the overall value that we received is second to none. C&M Construction does great work! They build quality homes at an exceptional value. Specifically, Cody is incredibly organized and has excellent rapport with his sub-contractors. I would say, I spoke with Cody just about everyday during the building process. To say the least, he was very patient with me. Thanks you guys. We can't wait to build again!"
"I wanted to put into writing our thanks and appreciation for helping us design and buid our first new home. We had an initial concern about the time frame and budget of our twin home. But, because of the long standing relationship you have with your sub-contractors we were able to not only come in at budget (even though we added some things), but we moved in a full month ahead of when we were planning to be. It's amazing to see how well you and your crew work together. I know all of our friends and neighbors were shocked at how quick and organized they were, you should be very proud of that. There is a saying that your reputation is everything, and I feel that you believe that saying. Although 99% of our construction was at or above what we expected, the 1% that we had concerns about were handled quickly and to everybody's satisfaction. Unfortunately, this cannot be said about all general contractors. Because we are only planning on occupying our twin-home for a limited number of years, wer will be in the position of building again. Both my wife and I agree that unless something very unfortunate happens, we plan to use your services again. As I have said before, the offer is still there that if you have any potential new clients, please feel free to give them my name and number if they have any questions or want to see first hand work that you and your crew can do. Price, quality, attention to detail, and lead time were all concerns of ours. Cody and his crew were able to fulfill all of our anxieties. Cody worked directly with the sub contractors making sure our requirements and wishes were met, inspected their work and maintained an "on time" schedule of building; even with unforeseen set backs and obstacles. His crew was always polite and helpful with questions throughout the building process and left the job site neat and orderly. Cody was sure to give responsive attention verbally, through email and meeting at the construction site when needed. He continued to keep himself available for any question or concerns we had. The constant updates and communication with Cody really made the process easier and made us feel more involved in building our home. Cody was excellent in communication. Hardly a day went by that we did not communicate with him through phone, email or text messages. We feel the overall quality and craftsmanship is top notch. It exceeded our expectations in many ways. We have received nothing but excellent comments from friends and family. Throughout the building process it was a pleasure working with Cody and his crew. They addressed our needs and fulfilled our wishes. Cody welcomed our ideas and eagerness to be more involved with the building process than the average homeowner. "Before we decided to build our dream home, we wanted to get some rough estimates from local builders to see if it was even possible for us to afford. Both our Realtor and local Loan Officer recommended we talk to C&M Properties and Construction. What impressed us with Cody was his prompt response to our initial emails and phone calls. He got us a very realistic estimate right away and made us feel very comfortable in knowing that it was possible for us to continue with the building process. He met in person with us on numerous occasions before we even started digging to make sure we were all on the same page and understood each other. He was very thorough in his planning and we never felt like we were “in the dark”. Cody is very budget conscious about new energy saving techniques to make our house as energy efficient as possible. His knowledge in that area was a big bonus and without that, our house wouldn’t be in the top 5 percent of energy efficient homes in Wisconsin! We had always heard the “horror stories” of building your own home…but it was a very exciting and pleasant experience for us. The whole process was very smooth and quick from the start to the finish. We felt like we were very involved in every phase, but we didn’t feel stressed out about any of it. It was also reassuring to see that Cody obviously has a good, trusting relationship with mutual respect for his employees and subcontractors. And we enjoyed working with Molly who was a huge help with the daunting task of picking out colors and styles of flooring, countertops, cabinets, paint, light fixtures, etc. It was so nice to have someone like her to offer additional insights and opinions.
